Whole Basil leaves are a great garnish for pasta dishes, tomato soup or sorbet. Use chopped with tomato juice, zucchini, squash or spinach. Also a great addition to salads, herb vinegar or herb butter.
Place the fresh bunch in a glass of water, cover with a plastic bag, seal with a rubber band and place in the fridge. If you have dried the leaves, store them in an airtight container. Fresh leaves can be chopped and frozen in blocks of cooking oil.
